KAITLYN SCHMIT
Kaitlyn Schmit and Friends
Kaitlyn Schmit is a soulful songwriter whose warm, strong vocals—blending smoothness with a signature rasp—anchor her emotionally rich writing style. Known for her powerhouse vocals and high-energy stage presence, she fronts the pop/rock/funk band Kaitlyn Schmit & Friends as well as her Rock/Grunge band, Off The Edge, delivering unforgettable live performances.
Behind the guitar, Kaitlyn leans into a deeper, more introspective songwriting style. Drawing inspiration from artists like Tori Kelly, Sheryl Crow, Heart, and Phoebe Snow, her originals blend heartfelt storytelling with dreamy, hook-driven melodies that stay with listeners long after the show.
Kaitlyn is also an active collaborator in the regional music scene. She appears on the single “Keep It Together” by Kevin Ashba, contributed to the album "As Soon As Things Get Good" by Vincent Yarnell, and is featured on Michael Allman’s album, "Creature of Habit".
Kaitlyn has performed on notable stages including Country Concert, The Clyde Theatre, and The Embassy Theatre. She is currently developing new material, including her upcoming songs “Miss Ray” and “Runaway,” while building fresh full-band setlists that highlight her evolving sound.
